New Casting with Reconditioned Valves.

Most do not realize that heads purchased from manufactures aren’t machined to spec. All Diesel Doctor Stage 1 heads are new castings that have been machined to our specifications . Including proprietary valve angles to optimize airflow. Heads are surfaced with a profilometer to meet 30Ra finishes or lower. This insures flatness smoothness and perfect gasket sealing . Our valve angles are cut and vacuum tested to insure optimum seal for superior performance and longevity . Valve recessions are set to are specifications to insure proper piston to valve clearances as well as valve stem heights for preloading of the lifter to promote long life of needle bearings .

Our cylinder heads are set up to me our specifications for proper valve recession to insure proper clearances between piston and valve. Valve angles and valves seats are cut to allow better air flow than the OE design. ALL Cylinder Heads are vacuum tested for proper valve and seat sealing.
